Phoronix is benchmarking GCC 8.1.0 vs GCC 7.3.0 on 5x Intel and AMD systems GCC 8.1 vs. GCC 7.3 Compiler Benchmarks On Five AMD/Intel Linux Systems - Phoronix. Just the type of benchmarks I was looking for seeing as my GCC 8 support for Centmin Mod Nginx builds is progressing too :)

Centmin Mod 123.09beta01's Nginx routine supports or working to support GCC 4.8, 5.3, 6.3, 7.2, 7.3, 8.0, 8.1 and Clang 3.4, 4, 5, and Clang 6 as outlined at Nginx - Guide To GCC & Clang Compiler Selection For Nginx Installs.

    Phoronix benchmarking 5 systems.
