I just setup centminmod on a digitalocean centod7 droplet but cannot access the default nginx pages externally. Running a curl command to my servers IP or localhost works as expected but visiting the IP in my browser doesn't work. I have checked CSF and confirmed my IP is not blocked. I have also tried disabling CSF and accessing the site which did not work.

I'm not sure what else I need to configure in order to just get the default nginx pages to show.

Did you enable digitalocean's own cloud firewall DigitalOcean Cloud Firewalls ?

If you did then that's another firewall level you need to configure or you can disable digitalocean's own firewall as Centmin Mod has it's own CSF Firewall CSF Firewall - CentminMod.com LEMP Nginx web stack for CentOS. Same with Vultr's own firewall. You can see CSF Firewall port listing here if you need to replicate the inbound port side on digitalocean's own cloud firewall.
