August 2015 Web Server Survey | Netcraft is out now.

Nginx and LiteSpeed making nice gains in usage and market share.

LiteSpeed first to market for HTTP/2 but sure Nginx will catch up very quickly

netcraft, w3techs and builtwith sites which track web server usage would need to add a check for centminmod nginx header. I believe they don't do that unless the web server has considerable market share to track. Doesn't help if Centmin Mod users change or hide the centminmod nginx header hehe.

I do hope one day centminmod grows to enough users to worth those sites to track and report stats for

FYI some rough stats

Centmin Mod prior to 123.08stable release versions for 3+ yrs had around 3,000 new downloads per month so 36x 3000 and 123.08stable release onwards moved from centminmod.com download to github so can't track downloads anymore but can roughly track installs due to hosting some of the source downloaded parts on centminmod.com and then is roughly 60-80 new installs per day since June 2015 last year. So rough number is 120,000 centmin mod installs out there but probably less as downloads don't mean new installs. So maybe 1/4th of that so 30,000-100,000 Centmin Mod folks out there somewhere heh. They all just need to find their way to register on the forums now

 

well everytime you install centmin mod some of the downloaded components come from hosted downloads on centminmod.com that's how i know how many new installs happen now

 

well ya have to as it can prevent the forum post editor from displaying properly if you enable adblock for whatever reason
