Please fill in any relevant information that applies to you:
    • CentOS Version: "Fresh" Centos7. Fresh Centminmod install install as of yesterday
I have a legacy site that I absolutely need to move to a new host. Is it possible to make vb 4.2 run on php 7-something?? I would like to move the site to a fresh server before I lose my current hosting. Then I can work on updating the applications I am running. vb ---> Xen

Option #5 does not allow me to drop back to old php
gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
    tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
    Error: php-5.4.10.tar.gz extraction failed.

I think it's because the version is way beyond EOL - however I do NEED it.

How can I make this happen? Would it involve an old Centminmod version? Where can I find it because centmin-v1.2.2-eva2000.20 is what I believe was used. The current server Centminmod was installed/tweaked by Eva2000 many many moons ago.

    Thank you!!

Been a while since I touched vBulletin 4. I think with vBulletin 4.2.5, you can use PHP 5.6.40 or PHP 7.1.33 temporarily until you switch to newer forum software. Centmin Mod 124.00stable or 130.00beta01 should be able to use centmin.sh menu option 5 to downgrade to those PHP versions

Thank you very much for your response! Transferring a copy of the site now then I'll pick through the inevitable errors. Awesome!

Well, one of my inevitable errors is I borked php-fpm by removing an old version (php5.4.x) I had on there while trying to get things going at first. yum -y remove php*

    ~]# service php-fpm start
    Redirecting to /bin/systemctl start php-fpm.service
Failed to start php-fpm.service: Unit not found.

I've done an nginx upgrade to the same version and a php upgrade hoping to "redo" the centminmod setup. Didn't work sadly.

Should I just have the box reloaded and start over?

Definitely easier to ensure you're working with a 100% Centmin Mod install

Yep, redid it and am running with vhosts firing on all cylinders. Thanks
