This is the first time I order a dedicated server and I have no experience at all for a dedicated server. I want to migrate my 2 linodes VPS here. I plan to create only 2 VM here (again, no experience for this task) , maybe I opt to use Virtualizor 2 license VPS - one VPS 6Gb RAM for centminmod webserver and other one for playing & testing VM.

    Here's my questions:

    1. Should I use RAID 10 - 4 x 64Gb SSD or RAID 1 - 2 x 128 SSD (budget is not much) ?

2.Which virtualization software should I use ? Easy to install, configure, and should support software RAID. I heard that Proxmox doesnt support software RAID and so with VMWARE ESXI Free, but I dont really have much knowledge about virtualization before.

    3. Ping time from my end is 280ms , use tracert and got 20 hops , all of my client websites are Drupal sites. Main target audience is also where I'm living (south east asia) 280ms away from my server. I plan to use KeyCDN to make it faster. Am I doing right decision here or I just killing my business by provide slow accessed websites for my clients ?

    4. I know this is a little too late as I already ordered the server, but anyone can suggest West Coast Dedicated Server with hardware specification and pricing close to ReliableSites.net ?

    5. I'm really sorry that I dont know that centminmod has affiliate link for Reliablesites.net, if so I will use that link to support centminmod. I saw advertisement from WHT by the way.

    Thank you

Bit confused from 1st post suggests you already ordered the server ? but only now deciding a new disk config ?

don't use virtualization management so can't help with that

you'd want the server to be closest to majority of your visitors - check google analytics geographic stats to see where they are - for USA yes west coast USA is best

I already ordered the server and now still playing with it. FIrst order, I only order 3 SSD 64Gb and set it as RAID 5. Then I ask them to add one more SSD 64 for RAID 10. So I assume they will help me if I want to change disk config to 128SSD, no ??
Its the first I ordered Dedi server so I dont know if theres any rules that not allowed customer to change its disk / RAM/ config in the future.
This is exactly what I want to know, does have a server far far away 280ms - 300ms will make website seems so slow if my target audience is where I'm live. Does CDN will help ?

I have browsed and read a lot but only found mixed opinions. Considering the price of the dedicated server, if CDN will help a lot then I think it may justified.
