    Found two nice comments also:

    and

From what i understand it seems that MariaDB can be faster using the cache only if there is no much activity or on a repeated query request as most benchmarks report and not when many and different requests are there....

For a Wordpress blog with comments disabled, query cache might be good. For a forum like this one, where queries results are always changing, its not that good.

Mysql team will remove Query Cache support beginning with Mysql 8.0, so i think that's a good indication. I don't know if MariaDB will do the same, its something for us to watch.

Best way to know is test your mysql usage patterns/loads with query cache enabled vs disabled and decide for yourself if using MariaDB MySQL :) But non-MariaDB MySQL definitely have query cache disabled.

AWS option is very simple and quick to use, but extremely expensive. This is why I do not recommend to use AWS.

We use it with docker. Also very simple to install with their instructions and faq. We run it at a 2GB Linode to monitor 3 MySQL servers.

Is there any issues to use it remotely ?

I mean for delays using a remote server.....

What is a good refresh time to use if you use at a remote server?

I think also 3306 should be open to do that remotely?

Looking for some help for this please:

When i try to connect the agent to server:

So it seems that the container has something like it's own network config?

How can i connect to the test server that i have already the Percona monitoring server there?

    I am using this:
    123.456.789.000=my remote server ip
8080=is the port that i was set to use

I'm happy with mariadb and query cache disabled on my big forum and everything better i guess. I follow the slow query logs, ram usage, cpu usage and page generating times and perfect with mysql query cache disabled -for me

p.s: my innodb forum database about ~10gb
