• There's numerous code changes, bug fixes over time, so ensure you have latest Centmin Mod code installed by upgrading your Centmin Mod code as instructed below.

Troubleshooting Initial Install

To troubleshoot initial installation, you need to check the initial install log at /root/centminlogs and instructions under Sharing logs and errors heading for using Pastebin.com or Gists to share a sanitised version of the contents of the initial install log. Example list /root/centminlogs files in date ascending order and grep for install.log

in SSH use cat to ouput contents of /root/centminlogs/centminmod_1.2.3-eva2000.09.001_111016-112321_install.log. Clear your SSH client window/buffer so only output is the contents of the file

Then copy and paste into Pastebin.com or Gists entry. If your SSH window scroll buffer isn't that large to get the whole contents of the install log, you can download file manually and copy and paste contents. But makes sure it's sanitised version of the contents of the initial install log as outlined at How to troubleshoot Centmin Mod initial install issues

Yes currently only developer - though I eat my own dog food and have 160+ servers of which 95% run Centmin Mod LEMP stack. So I am very motivated to keep Centmin Mod up to date Though I only work on Centmin Mod in my spare time. If financially I was able to work on Centmin Mod full time, that would be great too - at which time, I would be also able to hire Centmin Mod staff - yes can dream Though for now it's what it is

But Centmin Mod code is fully open source and hosted on github at centminmod/centminmod so anyone can fork the project (some have already done so) and take over if they feel like it or if they want to custom the code for themselves. FYI, current centmin mod public development roadmap/dashboard centminmod/centminmod

Knowledge wise you'd need to know shell bash scripting as that's what the code is just a bunch of shell bash wrapper scripts with a shell menu interface. But then you need knowledge of centos, nginx/nginx ssl/https, php/php-fpm, mariadb mysql, memcached, redis and general linux system admin knowledge including how to source compile software like nginx, php-fpm, memcached and various extra php extensions. And of course knowledge of how to use git/github.
