DNS My site is down - DNS A & AAAA records

did you change DNS A record to AAAA record or you made sure domain name has both A and AAAA record as a site needs both records A for IPv4 ip and AAAA for IPv6 ip.

nginx vhost needs updating for listen directive for both IPv4 and IPv6 ip too see FAQ item 34

test IPv6 connectivity at IPv6 domain readiness tester

both your domains do not show IPv6 AAAA record setup or nginx IPv6 setups for

it's for which ever you want to be using IPv6 which is usually just your domain name NOT main hostname

 

all domains need DNS A record at least otherwise your web site won't work and resolve when you type it in your browser

• main hostname needs DNS record i.e. A record
• subdomains need DNS record i.e. A or CNAME i prefer A
• domain needs DNS record i.e. A record

 

A record is the IP address you want to point the domain name too. So a DNS A record is a pairing one 1 domain or subdomain name to 1 IP address. The main hostname is just a subdomain.

• domain.com needs DNS A record
• sub.domain.com needs DNS A record where it could be main hostname setup for Centmin Mod

 

use Global DNS Propagation Checker - What's My DNS? to test domain or subdomain A & AAAA record propagation depending on dns record TTL cache it could take anywhere between 10 seconds to 24-48hrs to update changes to DNS.

if you incorrectly setup DNS, ask your DNS provider tech support
