    It seems my website is back, however still the homepage is redirecting to domain.com/xampp/

    Just researched the sql I imported through notepad++ for any "xampp" and it returned 0 results!

    I noticed that if I create a xampp directory, the website then reports back 403 forbidden

    got the homepage to work, it was a problem with uploading files via filezilla vhost user and pwd, tried re-uploading files using winscp using root and password, it worked. the website no longer redirect to xampp

    However one thing I noticed, all popups(register/login) return error nginx. Also accessing the forum nodes/custom pages returns 404 not found! I use route filters, is there some configuration I'm missing? Or would that be database import issue? But if I go into admin > application > all the nodes are there

    @eva2000 ty for the support, what's the latest guide for setting up https, I noticed there is Nginx HTTP/2 and it is preferred over Google SPDY, is it the guide @ Nginx HTTP/2 protocol to succeed Google SPDY ? However as it appears it doesn't support all browsers, what would you suggest?

    I have friendly urls enabled, and also have the nginx configuration lines from the url you referred me to in my vhost nginx conf.

    EDIT: everythings works on http, however the 404 not found is present when visiting https

    You need to add the same to your ssl vhost config file.
