Hey all, so I installed this not too long ago - I've got a VPS that doesn't have CentminMod (just CentOS 7) and I'm wanting to migrate to my new VPS with the mod. What's the easiest way to do this?

    Thank you.

Do you have existing control panel on old VPS ? if so what cpanel/WHM, directadmin, plesk etc ? who's web host for old VPS ?

The mechanics of migration are basically the same anywhere, backup public web root data files + backup mysql databases and transfer them to new server and then restore web root data files to new server's public web root and restore mysql databases to new server's mysql server then adjust web app's config settings to point to restored database name. Just you need to be familiar with where the public web root is on old and new server and where config files are located. Below may not be specific to your old VPS situation but they outline the general gist of what's involved - just the public web roots location would differ etc.

For moving site data there's 2 general guides where the principles & steps of backing up and moving data is the same just slightly different for
    1. Moving Centmin Mod site data to another Centmin Mod server
    2. Moving cPanel/WHM site data to Centmin Mod server
Those guides move alot more than just the site(s) in question but config files etc. You can use your own best judgement as to the config files and whether you want to move them or just use the fresh server setup Centmin Mod config files as they get auto optimised for the server Centmin Mod initially installed on.

If your old site isn't centmin mod or cpanel/whm based, then those guides won't be 100% applicable. But the general overview of what needs moving and where everything is structured in Centmin Mod LEMP environment is worth reading up on.

Also official site configuration files page explains the Centmin Mod structure of where the important files are so you can decide on what to backup.

quoting from summary of one of the linked guides - you can do test migrations while keeping live site untouched
