What's the stupidest mistake you've made while managing servers?

Not switching to centminmod sooner....

 

Oh, I’ve made so many.

One of the dumbest that I continue to make on occasion is… I’ll be editing configs, moving files around, etc., then I’ll get frustrated because files are not where they should be, config changes I was sure I made are missing. I start to feel like I’m losing my mind.

Turns out, I had switched tabs in my terminal and was working on an entirely different machine.
