Possible ImageMagick Imagick mismatch?

This isn't a big deal but it would be nice to get working, or have an explanation of why it isn't working.

It appears from the thread below that XenForo doesn't have any code that supports ImageMagick's ALPHACHANNEL_REMOVE that causes problem with transparency when resizing images.

So Ralle in the thread added a new addon that adds support for that. Unfortunately, that addon doesn't work for me. Whenever updating an avatar, for example, I get an error from XenForo: "Unable to set image alpha channel"

The author seems to think that my ImageMagick and Imagick modules might be mismatched, and I'm not sure how to validate them. All my other ImageMagick functions work ok, its just the alpha channel setting. Maybe it's newer than what one of these functions provides? They both appears to have been released on the same day (5/9/2016)

I uninstalled and reinsalled PHP imagick module, and ImageMagick appears to be up to date. Should I upgrade Centmin Mod possibly?
