Eventually one I have time to test MariaDB 10.5. But not right now as MariaDB 10.4 and higher are one way upgrades due to changes which make MariaDB 10.4 no longer a drop in replacement for Oracle MySQL so moving away from MariaDB 10.4+ to Oracle MySQL 5.7/8.0 will be harder. Pretty sure MariaDB 10.5 moves even further away from drop in replacement compatibility - making interchangeability between MariaDB and Oracle/Percona MySQL 5.7/8.0 much harder in future. Also MariaDB 10.4 and 10.4 have reported known performance regressions compared to MariaDB 10.2/10.3 - so probably need more time for MariaDB dev folks to iron those out too.

    See MariaDB - MariaDB 10.1 upgrades to MariaDB 10.2, 10.3 and 10.4.
