    Upgraded SpaceBattles Forums to 10.3.9 via 10.2.16 from 10.1.35

    Everything looks stable and stuff is still working! :D

    (I did take a linode snapshot of a database VM, while doing prep-work for some other upgrades)

    Probably like me, waiting for XF to iron out all the kinks in XF2 :)

    Nice, one of reasons I like Linode, snapshotting and cloning you can do before major changes are made to a server :)

    SpaceBattles runs ~100 add-ons, only of which 40 of them are ported. Several critical add-ons still need to be ported. Not to mention the theme ported too.

    I'm averaging finding 1-2 bugs in XenForo2 per paid add-on I port. So yeah.

    Yup. I use VM-based snaphotting heavily with my local development environment when testing add-on upgrade paths.

    No way in hell I want to restore a +30gb XenForo database from backups just to try just another update attempt

    Yeah i have XF2 bug forum RSS feed subscribed in my Slack channel and it's notifications galore most of the time just for official XF2 bugs. Can't imagine what's it like for XF2 addon area !

    Yup time saved is massive :)

    Appreciate your reporting of xf2 bugs. It helps everyone getting better product.
    i have half dozen critical big item custom addons which took me a long time to get developer to port.
    We only moved to xf2 a month ago so I can only imagine what it takes to move 100s addons.

    @eva2000
    When do you estimate that you will officially support upgrading to 10.3 from 10.2 directly from centmin.

    Well Centmin Mod 123.09beta01 has a hidden switch for MariaDB 10.2 to 10.3 upgrades via centmin.sh menu option 11 just like hidden switch for MariaDB 10.1 to 10.2. So technically possible to test MariaDB 10.2 to 10.3 upgrades out yourself :) Just MariaDB 10.2 has had more testing over time by me. While MariaDB 10.3 haven't really had that much time with it myself for Centmin Mod. Don't confuse MariaDB 10.3 stability itself with my testing of Centmin Mod compatibility which includes auto tune and auto optimisation work I do on Centmin Mod side when you do update via centmin.sh menu option 11. That involves me going through all the new/changed options available in MariaDB 10.3 and learning about them and testing them out and seeing what is are optimal settings to dynamically tune for based on auto detected server specs.

    I guess i will just wait for you to feel comfortable enough with 10.3 and give it your approval before upgrading.
