i think it's reporting missing SELinux policy files *.pp is because Centmin Mod recommends disabling SELinux so SELinux isn't on our systems so doesn't apply to us. Though i am not seeing or finding any mariadb.pp files in RPM packages installed so maybe MariaDB left those out ? Still would be irrelevant to us as SELinux is disabled.

This version and the previous seems to have some issues with my IPB forums as it is crashing every 1-3 days :(

    Never had that issue :(

Maybe a specific query cause that issue ?

    @Revenge
    @Jimmy

As i know you are using IPB also .... did you notice anything related?

Now i am looking also for a monitoring service for server software like MariaDB if not working to get an alert .... any ideas? As most monitoring solutions check the server only and not the apps..

    Thanks

symptoms ? exact error messages ? You might want to report them or search for issues on official MariaDB issue tracker at https://jira.mariadb.org/projects/MDEV/issues

Even a small IPB forum with less than 10 users online that never had any issues start getting a ton of 502 errors and i thought that something was related to phpfpm and i didn't find anything related and even restarting it doesn't work....

Server load was 0,7 and the software on the server was using very low resources like mysql: 70% phpfpm: 20% nginx: 7%

Not exact numbers but i remember that total was not used even 1 core and the server had a lot of free cpu and ram and it uses an ssd disk....

I then try to restart MAriaDB and got about 4x times more to do so and then all was working great....

Didn't check the show details to see what is going on and why was not responding and now i am looking for the next time that it will be in less than a day to monitor/find what's the issue.... I need an advice for this please.

I thought also that cloudflare may cause it but no changes applied the past 2-3 days.....

And the issue persist at all 5 IPB forums of mine and friends :(

    Thank you

Doesn't sound like MariaDB server crashing, but your mysql server was busy/loaded and caused php-fpm to timeout waiting for mysql server to respond which in turn caused nginx to return 502 as php-fpm timed out. Forcefully restarting MariaDB MySQL server (not advisable as you can corrupt your mysql data !) just cleared the mysql process/activity and didn't solve the real problem - the mysql process load. That doesn't rule out a MariaDB bug as it could cause slow processing of queries etc but more likely the former explanation by me is the reason. You need to troubleshoot and analyse your MySQL process/queries including enabling mysql slow query logging. Something left to end users to do.

You can check your mysql error log which is listed along with all other log file locations as per How to troubleshoot Centmin Mod initial install issues (/var/log/mysqld.log) for clues. Server logs at FAQ 19 at Centmin Mod FAQ - Menu based Nginx installer

I think the MariaDB optimizer may has an issue.....

@Revenge was reported a month ago back a related issue with a query from IPB that the MariaDB optimizer was convert it to a real issue....

Now i manage to produce it when i want so i may find something :)

When a user try to open the admin control panel it gives that 502 error and if not then when he try to login there it will.....

And that forum doesn't have even 10 users online and was never had any issues and i start to think that it may caused by a php upgrade maybe and not MariaDB but i am not sure as that seems very specific and if the user navigate to another page it works but on the other servers if i don't restart MariaDB it will not work.....

    :(

Can a blocked Cloudflare cause this?

From php logs i can see this:

    Code:
failed (104: Connection reset by peer) while reading response header from upstream

    Ok thanks :)

I will try to find something and then i will post :)

One last question for my case .... is there a way to check from ssh if phpfpm is not responding or if MariaDB is the one that is not responding?

    pool: www
    process manager: ondemand
    start time: 15/Mar/2017:17:24:34 +0000
    start since: 16468
    accepted conn: 1

    max listen queue: 0
    listen queue len: 8151
    idle processes: 0

    total processes: 1
    max active processes: 1
