Yes 123.09beta01 only later defaulted to MariaDB 10.1, so you need to use upgrade submenu option like @negative mentioned

This script's MariaDB 10.1.x upgrade process is still in beta testing stages.
So please test on a test server and not a live production server. But if you use
on live server or if MySQL databases already exist, please back them up before
running this upgrade script via mysqldump - instructions at:

MySQL backup tool. But still works with MariaDB 5.2.x

did you change your mysql root pass from one listed in /root/.my.cnf ?

Probably best to reset mysql root password - instructions at Recovering a lost mysql root password | Centmin Mod Community (just remove the sudo command) and then change password listed in /root/.my.cnf after you followed those instructions.

confirm with command should return output without need for mysql root details
