Wooo hooo, can't wait to try it.
I got .07 installed so how do I get the latest version?
Should I try the .08 instead?

    thanks @Floren

Personally, I am still waiting until MariaDB 10.0.13 has some air time online and to keep track of what type of Jira bugs are reported before using it live. I only added it as default to .08 beta for beta testing. So ideally, yes if you want to help beta test .08 = CentOS 7.x - How to help test .08 CentOS 7 Betas with Github code ? | Centmin Mod Community ;)

But if you want to use it live on .07 at your own risk then follow the MariaDB submenu upgrade option steps at MariaDB - MariaDB 5.5 to 10 upgrade beta testing | Centmin Mod Community

It also caused a botched upgrade to MariaDB 10 on another server (was after a fresh install so nothing lost but time). Removed MariaDB 5 and then couldn't connect to the yum repo to install MariaDB 10.

nope, MariaDB 10. as default install will be in .08 beta and .08 stable and higher only

so more folks who test .08 beta, the faster it becomes .08 stable ;)

    Ok thanks George :)

0.8 will auto detect Centos 6.5 and 7 and installs according to the version?

Also do you know any web benchmark if it is better and faster to use the new Centos 7 than the old 6.5?

yeahs .08 will auto detect if OS is CentOS 6.5 or CentOS 7.0 and install accordingly :)

Google is best place to search for benchmarks :D
