Anyone has experience clustering a MariaDB with centmin or how to do it?

I guess i'll have to uninstall MariaDB and install cluster?

    Thanks!

    MariaDB 10.x/11.4+
If you're using default MariaDB 10.0.x then yes uninstall and install MariaDB Cluster but if you using Centmin Mod 123.09 betas it has option to upgrade to MariaDB 10.1.x Beta Branch - Centmin Mod .09 beta branch Testing | Page 2 which has MariaDB Cluster merged with regularly MariaDB 10.1 server so no need to uninstall. MariaDB 10.1 just went GA stable MariaDB - MariaDB 10.1 is stable GA

however, it's very new so for Centmin Mod it's only available in 123.09 betas for testing purposes. I'd probably wait 4-6 releases before making MariaDB 10.1 official for Centmin Mod.

    Nginx-1.26.x
    MariaDB 10.6.x
Does that means that i can upgrade to 10.1 and install on another server the 10.1 and use them as cluster without any additional installation steps other than normal configuration?

    cheers
You still need to go through MariaDB cluster setup steps as per official documentation which require a minimum of 3-6 servers in cluster

    Getting back as promised.

I finally gave up. Tried many guides with no success, the nodes just wouldn't connect. I ended up returning to Percona XtraDB Cluster which works really good and it has been stable for me on production for months and huge traffic.

I really wanted to give mariaDb Cluster a try, but there are either bugs or guides have it all wrong.

If anyone have the same problem i suggest try percona, shoot me any questions you have i can help.

strange is that Percona Cluster on Centmin Mod or another stack ? If on another stack, then for Centmin Mod and MariaDB Cluster, you might need to read Getting Started Guide item 4 for CSF Firewall port whitelisting and CSF Firewall and white list the appropriate TCP and UDP ports that Galera requires

FAQ item 19 also lists the error log locations so you can get /var/log/messages and other logs to see if it's BLOCKED ports issues etc

You'll need to whitelist TCP and UDP respective ports for mysql, incremental and state snapshot transfer states and galera traffic itself and maybe also rsync port

    Hi Eva

Yes my environment or stack is centminmod in both cases

Regarding the firewall i did check it even disable it, did everything properly, it is actually pretty much the same config as percona since both use Galera. I spent hours trying to figured it out, also tried from an original source guide to 4 more guides around the web with no results. I also checked that everything was installed properly like rsync, also tried sst method transfer = xtradb, no results.

So i removed Mariadb completely and then installed percona cluster, works great (without having to reinstall server / centminmod.

So at this point am not going to try anymore but if it works for someone else please post a guide for future reference.
