Yeah but their github account is older too.

FYI, some sparkpost free tier users are reporting their accounts getting suspended without any notification of suspension at Outlook.com / Hotmail.com Blocking Email | Page 3 | MattWServices

edit: looks like the suspension was a mistake Alternative to Mandrill | Page 4 | The Admin Zone

Maybe due to IP warm up policies IP Warm-up Overview or Gmail issues ? Seems from Sparkpost's guidelines for new email/IP detected, should keep emails sent to less <10,000 per day per ISP

I haven't made the move yet from Mandrill. I got that same reminder email from Mandrill. I think I might go with Mailgun because Jamroom uses it and I can use it with IPB. Though, Sendgrid is tempting.

You can use more than one smtp provider for testing.. only real limited is with SPF TXT records that have max 10 DNS lookups per SPF record SPF: FAQ/Common mistakes

curious how ex-Mandrill users have faired with alternative smtp transactional email providers now ?

I still use Amazon SES so haven't really put to use my other transactional email providers discussed in this thread for sparkpost and elasticemail

I've only used it for server emails (cron, csf notifications, etc.) and now I'm using mailgun. Still free and still straight to my inbox just like when I was using mandrill.

In the end, I think I'm going to move to MailGun because it's integrated with Jamroom which is going to be my primary CMS. I currently use Sparkpost with IPB.

Though, with sparkpost I have noticed some errors showing up with sent emails. But I'm thinking those are coming from the script vs. Sparkpost. Overall, sparkpost has been working great.

Seems to be the perfect alternative for Mandrill. Was going to try Pepipost and I just found your post.

    Have anyone tried Elastic Email?

Haven't seen good feedback on their FB page. I think I won't try it (will avoid a headache)

only bad experiences get reported usually vs good experiences posted so can be skewed. Only way is to try for yourself. Then again, I just use Amazon SES without issues :D

seems to be the cheapest option. Unfortunately seems too complicated to set up (I'm get used to use Mandrill which can be set up with just few clicks)
