Went to upgrade from they MySQL 10.1 to 10.2 just now now and got a MOJOR problem.. it failed to upgrade and now mySQL is not active.

Was trying to upgrade to at least 10.4 and it's the site is no longer working.

    EDIT:
I've simply wiped the entire VPS and am going to start over from scratch. Luckily I have my forum backed up... the rest of the sites I'll have to start again.

Would importing a 10.1 version of a MySQL (MariaDB) dump cause issues importing into the 10.3 version? I'm getting ALL kinds of permission errors in XF itself after restoring the files and importing the data dump that I did using the standard command line fo for a dump using UTFMB4.

Which Centmin Mod version did you use? 123.08stable, 123.09beta01, 124.00stable or 130.00beta01? MariaDB 10.1 and 10.2 are deprecated by MariaDB now so their YUM repos moved to archival domains off their main YUM repo name. Not all Centmin Mod versions - especially the older ones would of had updated those routines.

It shouldn't if it was a straight mysqldump and import. It would cause issues if you physically copied the database files from MariaDB 10.1 to 10.3 and dropped them in /var/lib/mysql.

started on 123.09beta and upgraded to the latest stable. For some reason I didn't catch that MariaDB didn't get updated in the yum updates and was a manual process.

It was quicker to simply wipe the entire system and start over from scratch with new stuff.
Currently on 124.00stable. It was a "do-or-die" type deal... and instead of dying I honored myself with the pain of setting up a fresh VPS. :p
I had a feeling it was that the REPO's had been deprecated... entirely my fault.

The issue ended up being the "try_files". Weird thing is... I simply moved it up two lines and she started working... or maybe it was that finally CloudFlare got their crap cleared out so that I was running direct to the VPS again. :oldman:
