    Hello

I got this email from Yahoo today as it seems that my forum is sending a lot emails to Yahoo users:

As they use that kind of limits for all can we get that limit for Yahoo ONLY as default at Postfix for Centminmod?

As if there is no such limit the emails will stay at mailq and the number will increase a lot and it will be not possible to send them all at once then...

    Thanks

Yes i found a lot and as this is a problem that all Centminmod users may have if they send a lot of emails at yahoo it may be good to have that limit as default for yahoo only in Postfix ?

Usually it won't be an issue as mass email sending should never be via postfix itself on Centmin Mod but via a 3rd party transactional smtp provider which will properly deal with optimal email delivery i.e Amazon SES

I am having that issue without sending a mass mail....
I just have many users with yahoo mail and the forum tries to send a notification to all of them when a new reply is coming on a big topic.....

Just use Amazon SES for forums. That is what I do on this forum. But I also ban yahoo and Hotmail emails = less headaches :)

Better than having your server's IP address blacklisted and added to spam databases which ISP and receiving mail providers end up blocking your emails :) And worse, your web host ends up terminating your hosting for spam violations/reports.
