So @Matt probably has some experience with http://www.kimsufi.com/uk/ anyone else ?

Servers seem dirt cheap even for AUD$1 = 0.64 EURO exchange rate.

Yes, I'm currently using one of their i3's for my backup / test server. Can't beat it really for price vs performance. If it breaks, I'll just order another one!

Looks like they have just released a new version of their control panel, with a lot more information in there:

It's pretty quick, takes about 10 minutes on a 1TB HDD.

I'd be concerned on what they are running on your dedi to be able to pull those types of stats.

I'm not concerned. They have a few perl scripts on there which run to gather the stats. You don't HAVE to have the stats, you can disable the cron which runs, although you'd then risk their monitoring picking up an issue with the hardware, which is the ONLY support they currently offer.

    It works great!
No down times anymore like when I'm still on Knownhost and Nimbus.
All I can say is no DDOS attacks anymore on my forum since I moved into them.

hmm that KS-6 is tempting for a backup server as you have 16 cpu threads and 8 cpu cores to take advantage of multi-threaded backup and compression tools !

or the lack of. That's why they are so cheap though. Can't offer an i3 for £14 a month and then support it as well.

Didn't for me. I signed up, paid with a Visa, and had the server in < 5 minutes.

Yes they ask an ID and billing paper to verify and they can do from a few days to a few weeks to verify :(

It depends on your order. I'm from the UK, ordering via the UK site, paying with a UK Visa. My order went straight though.

Yes they require some validation for certain country, but I'm verified after an hour sending all my ID's :)
You don't wait a day for the validation.
Just a few minutes or hour.
