Sublime text was the king for a long time but it seems that Visual studio code is very good lightweight with many plugins and no crashes and also free to use.......

might have to check it out.. sublimetext i like how you can manage projects and do project wise search/search and replace for text and the command macros

will check out Visual studio code though :)

I don't use live preview heh.

But i see Visual Studio Code has my most used Sublimetext editor feature Basic Editing in Visual Studio Code and even has the same command shortcuts !

Sublime for that type of stuff, then Atom. Vim for editing config files.

For me it's an obvious bias vote (Sublime text) since I've never used Visual Studio Code before.

VS Code is amazing. Definitely check it out.

For pure web design, however, you can't beat Brackets. It's not the most stable thing in the world, but it has the best live preview functionality you'll find. I used to use Espresso but Brackets is even better.

A nice Brackets feature is inline css editing :)
