    Hi,

Today the htpasswd protection for wordpress admin started showing up on the home page.

Apparently no changes have been made on server, I just updgraded nginx and code base to latest as it hadnt been updated for some time.

I have disabled the htpasswd as it was still showing on home page

Any idea how to fix it?

    Thanks
    Fernando

Centmin Mod does not have any routines that setup htpasswd nginx equivalent on any sites at all. So whatever it is might be something you modified?

What were exact commands you did to update Centmin Mod code base and nginx upgrade?

    Hi George,

The problem existed before and after upgrading, just the htpasswd popping up on the home, perhaps they changed something on the theme that was making a call to login.php or wp-admin i will try to check today.

Unless the domain has been hacked, there have been no modifications, I used the option in centmin to update the codebase, and then updated nginx to see if that would fix the problem, but it didn't, so I disabled htpasswd for now.

    Thanks
