Xenforo How To Install Elasticsearch 5.x for Xenforo

Nearly all my add-ons are updated for ElasticSearch 6 support, just finishing off the last changes to ElasticSearch Essentials 2.4.x

It will include a bulk CLI indexer, which I've used on my forums to give a decent speedup

FYI, but the 6.x beta's & release candidates do not support upgrading any indexes created to the 6.0 release built.

It works on elasticsearch server 5.x too ? Because if 6.0RC1 doesn't support to upgrade 6 final version, i will go downgrade to 5 now. Some add-ons doesnt support 6 still.

Has anyone tried to install XFES beta 7 on a xenforo 2 beta 7?
I tried to day in the Option page for the XFES, when I test settings, it says a connection could not be made to Elastic Search.

 

ES 6 has been released. Anyone tried it yet?

 

I update the repo for ES 6, yum update to ES 6 and restart elasticsearch but it seems not connecting

I even open port 9200 in CSF but nothing happens.

If I revert back to ES 5, it works again.

Any idea why?

 

So the solution is remove ES, reinstall it to get it to work again.

 

I've tried to install it and works well. But problem is, new post doesn't add to search index. After install elasticsearch, i did reindex all search system and search function works perfectly. But there are no results of new posts on search system and i write this problem to xenforo support, they told me we have no other reports about that, you need check the plugins. But it was work already on elasticsearch 2 and i have tried disabling the add-ons related with about elasticsearch, posts, caching. But nothing changed.

So, Why this problem happened u think ?

 

I noticed XFES 1.1.8 was released in November with support for ES6... anyone here using both successfully?

 

Yes, both on my xf 1.5 and 2.0 installations.
