How to setup temporary site (v2)

    Hi

    SHORT: Can I regenerate/change certificate of existing site (from v2.domain.com -> domain.com)

    LONGER:
    I would like to setup beta site (v2) of wordpress install (22) with SSL cert.
    problem is, I need to use some temporary name, say v2.domain.com until wp site is ready to be renamed to just www.domain.com, or preferably just domain.com

    Shall I setup worpdress for domain.com and then add v2 to config, then I wont even get SSL cert cause domain.com points to old site.

    Shall I install it as v2.domain.com and then somehow rename/regenerate cert ? (that would be imho cleanest way)

    Nginx 1.31.x
    MariaDB 10.x/11.4+/12.3+
    just create 2 separate nginx vhosts for v2.domain.com and domain.com with wordpress and HTTPS/SSL letsencrypt SSL cert, when done with v2.domain.com just move the files and database over to domain.com and change the domain similar way you can use wp-cli to change url for wordpress database entries for home and siteurl Wordpress - centmin.sh menu option 22 - How to switch Wordpress to subdirectory
