Sysadmin How much real traffic do your servers handle?

    Just kind of curious...I'm running a $10 Linode VPS with Centminmod with no additional tweaks to the PHP or Nginx configuration and my server handled ~90,000 unique visitors in the last 24 hours with no errors.

    It's probably not very impessive because this particular domain is 100% static with 2 requests at 9.9KB. :)

    well static file serving is Nginx's strength. IIRC one Centmin Mod member was handling wordpress blog with wp super cache for static page caching with 90,000+ unique visitors a day on 512MB DigitalOcean VPS !

    @RoldanLT and @BamaStangGuy @deltahf probably have much higher traffic based Centmin Mod powered sites :)

    What kind of websites are you running if you don't mind me asking; that's a lot of bandwidth on Wordpress!

    Each website has it's own Server.
    But it could run pretty well on single server.

    31+ TB nice.. Cloudflare saving you alot in bandwidth too :D

    I'm loving Cloudflare now that I switched to it. I'm forgetting other CDNs/DNS services for the time being because they just do it so well!

    I just wish Cloudflare had bandwidth/request pricing rather than $20 flat fee per domain because that is FAR too expensive for multiple domains with low to medium traffic.

    I agree, though depends if you site(s) can cover the cost. But Centmin Mod LEMP stack minus Cloudflare can handle quite a bit of traffic too with or without free version of Cloudflare :)

    Yes there is no denying that everything included with Centminmod is very well optimized, however, without Cloudflare my websites would not perform well in terms of load speed. Most traffic comes from mobile phones on slow connections so response times are key.

    Indeed.. that's why centminmod.com site is on my own CDN like solution with GeoDNS cluster :)

    Here's my bandwidth for the past month, a pretty slow month for my site, traffic-wise, due to the nature of our topic. The site runs on WordPress and XenForo, utilizes the XenForo image cache, and runs on a dedicated server at ReliableSite. I only use CloudFlare for DNS. Last month we served 3.6 million pageviews.

    The total was 3.1TB of traffic for the month, so an average of 103GB per day.

    From my stats and logs, I also see alot of porn/adult sites are using Centmin Mod LEMP stack now too. Guess it's a compliment when porn sites start using Centmin Mod :D

    I am using Centminmod from start as you know and most users afraid to go ahead with it because there is no panel like cpanel so they can easily hit restart or do such stuff by clicking buttons and the second reason is the .htaccess rules for Nginx as they must found them on the net first and then to move to it.....

    I was used also Cpanel before but after so many years in my opinion what they see negative is what i see as positive and when i explain to them then almost want to give it a try and then with the super results they do not go back :)

    They just donate for my help as i am not very good to stand as a Linux/Centminmod administrator (yet?) :)

    The positives are:

    1)No control panel so more resources on the system and no security issues with that kind of login on the server.
    2)System wide optimizations are automated
    3)Very flexible as a new version is out of any software then you just need a minute to update
    4)very easy to downgrade in any case
    5)Very well organized : config folders and files
    6)Not needed software for all are offered as addons
    7)Great community support

    Negative (actually stuff that i like to see :) ) :

    1)Jailed accounts so no one will be able to jump from one account to another
    2)An automated backup system with restore

    I think a lot of people are using Centminmod for adult/dating affiliate advertising campaigns.
    I know of a large (paid) marketing forum that thinks highly of Centminmod and it's usually suggested

    The forum is called STM (for StackThatMoney, paid membership at $99/mo). Unfortunately you cannot read the forum without a subscription to the private forum.
    More specifically, I know for a fact CMM was mentioned in a training program their admin puts out.
