Just curious how many of the other Centminmod users have upgraded their xenForo 2 boards to xenForo 2 on their Centminmod servers. If you want, you can share your experience in this topic :D

i'd probably wait 6-9 months at least so addon developers have time to catch up for XF2 compatibility and ironing out bugs

Got a back up server running cmm and copy of my live site to test the last few months.
Got a few custom addons being developed and I would hope to move to XF2 completely in early 2018

Yup exactly why it's good to wait. @Matt seems to have jumped on XF2 for production usage fairly quickly though :D

I was able to get rid of most of the addons, so it's a nicely streamlined install now :)

So you just remove those addons without their replacements or does XF 2 have those functions already?

I'm working on a local copy of site in virtualbox now. With CMM of course :D

Trying to figure out what addons I really need. Like @Matt did, I want to streamline my setup a bit.
Since many of my users are older. Using the KISS method is important.

    Upgraded on new years day.
3 days before I uninstalled 80+ addons. 10 addons left untouched to be legacy addons and to be upgraded with xf2 versions.

@Sunka did you uninstall those addons in xf1 before the upgrade?
If you don't mind, I'm curious which addons did you feel important enough to keep?

My advice uninstall them all on test XF copy of your forums and start there. Makes XF1.5 to XF2 upgrades alot less complicated.

    Uninstalled day before upgrading

    Thanks for the info.
For addons you wanted to keep, which have db edits/options settings, it is best to keep and leave in legacy state.
Then you purged any addons you didn't need to use going forward or whose data wasn't import to keep.

once I have my new laptop all resetup with virtualbox, this is my plan as well for test Xenforo 1.5 to 2.0.x upgrades :)

reading other folks xenforo 2.0 prefixed threads for install/upgrade issues might come in handy too Installation, upgrade, and import support

    i.e. useful to know links

XF 2.0 - Can't Stay Logged In after Upgrade

    XF1 Cleanup Command

Apparently you can also compare database schemas too XF1 Cleanup Command

No much spare time right now but been playing with Xenforo 2.1.0 on/off and just thought I'd tally up just @Xon's addon costs for XF 1.5 to XF 2.1.0 upgrade excluding other paid XF 2.x addons and it's a hefty bill $$$:LOL: Costs will have to be covered hopefully via Ways You Can Support Centmin Mod ;)

If you already have versions for xf 1.x, jou just have to buy renewal!
Then you can download versions for both, xf 1 and xf 2

Yeah some of those paid addons replace free versions I had with XF 1.5 i.e. TPU Spam protect > Signup Abuse Protection and blocking and Expiring user upgrades/Aggregating forums and Postratings > Content Ratings.
