How did you find out about Centmin Mod ?

1. From google about 3 weeks ago. I've just looked for soft that can automatically install and properly configure a good stack of web-developing technologies.
And because I'm a noob in this, the founded things for pro admins like Vargant, Chef, Puppet, Salt etc. etc. just driving me nuts!
And seems like total overkill. Did I need to learn Ruby just for deploying?!
What I really need is to reuse my old knowledge and focus on development, I think.
So I was very glad when I've found centminmod.

1. I first found out about it a few years ago, when I wanted to try a bare bones VPS to play about with for test purposes. Read a lot about nginx being better than Apache, so started looking into it more and more.

When DigitalOcean made TechCrunch I started looking for something I could use to easily setup a LAMP server. I had always heard about Nginx and wanted to try it and that lead me to stumble across your site.

I saw it being talked about on the xF forums and I have lurked around here for awhile never posting but I took the plunge today and had my site migrated from a shared cPanel account to a VPS running this fine product.

 

1. Hear for Centimon mod last week when I tried to found haow to manage vps server. But I read your @eva2000 post on vbulletin long ago while my forum was on vbulletin software.

After try more panel and script finally i find what i need from recommended from friend who recommend me to try centminmod so i try it and now i have it installed in 2 of my server and i want thank you for the help of community for the problem i find it.

Well - I can't for sure remember when I first ran into centmin mod - but first time I did go away.. Its was not something to debian and its flavor. I did come back later, have a unused vps and gave centmin mod a shot - and I was hooked.

I still not use it in production - but I'm close to go all in. At this very moment I am testing the LE branch.

1. I first heard of centmin mod around 12 + months ago from a friend who was looking into cPanel alternitives at this point i had not long sold my company so had alot of spare time to play.

2. As soon as my friend introduced me the first day i installed and never looked back

4.I have seen the youtube but i am yet to actually need to use it, i mean its one command to install and up untill now have never needed any help aha.

 

I started using Centmin first, the script that started it all - Centmin - a low memory CentOS install script | Web Hosting Talk

but it wasn't being developed actively.

Good thing George forked it to become this super LEMP script that we know today.

4. Yea, I remember looking at the docs first and got stuck, then I looked at the video and saw the command for the mod menu was just "centmin" which is amazing. I am not used to such simple commands
