Wordpress Best steps to take when changing wordpress installation options

Sometime you can run into the question, maybe my install runs faster with another install option.

For example, you installed a site with option 22-1 and want to change it to another one for testing if another better fist your needs and performance.

Normally I would take these steps:

• Disable current caching and clear cache
• copy old config, ssl, /home/nginx/domains to safe location (basically, look inside wp_uninstall, whatever has rm make a copy of that)
  
• use wp_uninstall script in /root/tools
  
• install site with new options and copy the latest text of install for reference (login etc)
  
• copy what you need for previous saved /home/nginx/domains *(not old caching plugins/drop-in)
• adjust wp-config to reflect to old dbase/user (will give some warnings about plugins)
  
• Setup new caching method (nginx-redis for example)

Test, test and test for good results

But I still have the feeling that I'm missing something / not doing it in the correct way.
This is a quick post, steps can differ a bit cause I did not log the steps as done before.

Anybody to confirm the best steps to take?

Just asked Cloudflare sales what is the best option with many domains.
