Yea, I renewed it again myself (I only got 1). You can't beat $20 a year for a VPS.
Just for testing or alright for a couple of small sites that do not get too many visitors simultaneously? Because I have a 1 GB VPS from Linode that hosts several small sites and it works fine for me. Is the deal still on? I might consider it for testing purposes too due to the cheap price.
this deal isn't but they usually have a $35/yr one on their site somewhere. But 1 of 5 is used for live site, other one for test xenforo 2 instance and 3 used for centmin mod testing
Nah i bought 2 of this and use for 1 live site using wp+redis that got hits by 8-13k UV/day.. i'm doing sync between their UK n NL location + Mysql Slave just in case..
I've still got my HostUS VPS's (I use one for my mail server, and one for my main sites)... Incidentally, my main one seemed to become speedier a month or so ago...
Just a heads up if you're using OpenVZ 6 VPS with CentOS 7.7. You may run into an issue where pure-ftpd service is refusing to start with error This is due to CentOS 7.7 updated systemd changing how symlinks are followed and require a newer updated linux kernel like 2.6.32-042stab127.2 or newer. on this problematic OpenVZ6 host node with not working pure-ftpd service Code (Text): uname -r 2.6.32-042stab125.5 on working kernel OpenVZ6 host node Code (Text): uname -r 2.6.32-042stab127.2 On HostUS provider, some of the OpenVZ6 have newer kernels and pure-ftpd works fine, some have older OpenVZ host node kernels and don't work under and refuse to start pure-ftpd service with above error under CentOS 7.7. Unfortunately, HostUS isn't willing to update the OpenVZ6 host node's kernel so they will only give you an option to move to a different OpenVZ7 host node which has 3.10 kernels which should fix this issue or you can cancel your server and find an OpenVZ VPS server with newer Kernel. I just ended up cancelling the OpenVZ6 VPS which had older kernels as they were no longer needed as I can still test Centmin Mod with remaining OpenVZ6 VPS servers. Edit: updated with a workaround fix for this at Beta Branch - update pure-ftpd systemd service startup in 123.09beta01
