    If we just don't buy it, wouldn't they have to eventually lower the price?

    Or for the hosting industry, we can't avoid this?

    Probably can't avoid this. Web host are reporting they have difficulty even getting suppliers to quote on prices as the prices are increasing every day so one day's quote will change the next day. For some web hosts to hedge their bets, they'd have to charge much higher prices just in case.

    I imagine some web hosts are more impacted by this than other web hosts depending how much stock for memory and drive they have on hand. But this supply and price issue is estimated to continue until at least 2028!
