I am running Centmin mod on my test VPS server (Centos 7) for a couple of months now and it works great. Using this script is easy and saves me a lot of time as most software I need is preconfigured and tested ! I am testing IPBoard 4.1 and will soon convert my existing Vbulletin 3.8 forum running on an (old) VPS with centos 5.11 and Apache. On my test VPS when using "yum check-update" I see that there are 229 packages excluded due to repository priority protections. I know that the Centmin packages are not updated by yum, but are there really 229 packages handled by Centminmod ? Is there a way I can check which packages are excluded by Yum ? Is there a "system upgrade manual" available with a description how to keep my Centos 7 installation up-to-date with system updates and centmin-mod updates without breaking the centmin-mod installation ? Specially with security updates it is important to know that packages need to be updated. How do you keep all packages up-to-date without too much manual investigation all the time ?
