Finally joined... just another Aussie learning nginx and learning to love the command line. Big fan of performance here.

Ok, I'm coming back to take another look at this, as my current bare bones, custom setup that also runs iredadmin mail server... is painful to upgrade. Works well... but just painful to upgrade. And I want to get away from email hosting at the server, instead just having a default sending path for the installed software, otherwise outsource email hosting to professional services to remove a huge headache from my life.

Welcome back! Centminmod is the best kept secret in the world of server configuration and management. :D

I'd recommend using Amazon SES for email delivery. It's a little more complicated to configure, but the cost savings compared to other providers is significant.

Yer, I wrote the SES guide at Xenforo, in a thread somewhere, to help others use it. I will have to go back to it, as I pulled it all into my servers locally with iredmail... but now roundabout.

I use SES on my largest.. love it. I do also use Sparkpost, and I like it as well. They have a really cool API!
