    I have been looking for a low cost backup box, just for storage of backups as an alternative to S3 and Linode backups which are startet to become very costly.

    I came across this offer a few days ago and it looks too good to be true: Hetzner Storage Box

    Anyone have experience with these? Looks to be about half of the cost of Backupsy...

    Backupsy 1TB, 4TB badthwidth: $24/month with coupon
    Hetzner 1TB, 5TB bandwidth: €9.40/ month ($10.50 todays exchange rate)

    From what I gather you cannot login to the servers, only access via FTP/SFTP/SSH/SMB

    I have no experience with that particular product.. I do from time to time lease some of their dedicated servers, also the older ones they re-lease again cheaper ( Hetzner Online GmbH - Serverbidding )..

    I do recommed them if you are looking for something good and stable in Europe (Germany). Hetzner is in my area 'popular' because of the prices they have, massive network, good products and not to forget, close to home - but are very professionel. As business user you can get som very expensive SLA deals with them.

    Just have in mind - Hetzner does traffic limit - not in speed, but the transfer per month. And that is on all products if not remember it wrong.
