Hi all, I just joined your forums.

How did I hear about CentinMod? Actually, I don't remember. I stumbled on it a year ago, then re-stumbled on it last month. It was probably from googling nginx performance or optimization.

I haven't installed it yet. I had CentOS setup on Vultr, but gave up on it because the packages were so damned old. For example, none of the repos have the current version of zlib (1.2.8) which was released a couple of years ago...

CentinMod has made me rethink CentOS – if I go back to CentOS, it will be because of CentinMod. What I like about CentinMod: attention paid to compiler flags, easy install and setup interface, includes latest version of nginx, includes useful patches like dynamic TLS records (from Cloudflare I think), and includes LibreSSL instead of OpenSSL.

I haven't looked at the videos yet.
