I've just decided to give Centinmod a try while planning to revamp the infrastructure I maintain. I've known about Centinmod for awhile, but we had previously been running Windows boxes for a few applications that needed the ASP support. Now, most of that has been retired and we're retiring the older hardware and bringing up new instances with CentOS 7. Centminmod seemed like an obvious choice to try after spending days and sometimes weeks setting up vanilla boxes in a uniform and secure manner.

At the very least, this looks like a good way to ensure a uniform build across multiple servers. (We are also planning to roll-out SSL while also converting our stack to Nginx.)

Historically, you may have seen my name over vBulletin during the vB2, vB3 and part of the vB4 days. More recently, I've been over at XenForo and an active 'reader' at some of the other admin discussion communities. By nature, I'm more of a behind-the-scenes kind of person that takes care of the back-end as well as business matters. I dabble in development, but tend to leave the serious stuff to seasoned vets.
