    Hmm.

I tried that but the SMTP user was still in the resulting email's "From" and "Return-Path" headers. The webmaster@example.com alias was only listed in a "X-Google-Original-From" header.

Might have to remove existing send from entry and re-add it again. On my mobile right now so can't check but I think that is how alias user send from works.

Make sure when you create the send from alias in settings -> accounts you check the box 'Treat as an alias' Should I uncheck "Treat as an alias" in Gmail? - Google Workspace Admin Help

On desktop now and checked, user aliases sent from Gsuite webmail show up in From email header like normal for me.

Deleted and re-added but same result. :(

I did some more experimentation. Apparently there is a slight difference if you're using Send From with a GSuite email address on the same domain vs. just a regular Gmail address, which is what I've been trying so far. (I use my personal @gmail.com address and just forward everything to it.)

When I tried Send From with the same-domain GSuite address, it did actually put the alias in the "From" header. However, it did still show the SMTP user in the "Return-Path". Unfortunately, this must look a bit suspicious, as the test Yahoo address I was sending to put the message in the spam folder.

So, just be careful if you are actually using Send From with aliases.

I only use alias from same domains guess why I don't see that issue. But don't assume that is reason for spam. Check out https://community.centminmod.com/th...ver-email-doesnt-end-up-in-spam-inboxes.6999/ and ensure you're properly setup for sending email domains and using Mail-tester.com to be sure. These days DMARC isn't really optional if you want reliable mail delivery that doesn't end up in your users spam box :)

You can create DMARC records via free service at DMARC Weekly Digests by Postmark but DMARC only works when you have both valid working SPF and DKIM DNS records. On the free service site, on the 'Send reports about this domain' field enter your domain.com or subdomain.domain.com (i.e. main hostname host.domain.com) in the field. You can use https://www.learndmarc.com/ to test your DMARC, SPF, DKIM setup is correct for sending email domains.

Well not sure what all the fuss was about, ended up just switching all my other domains to personal use to continue on Gsuite legacy LOL. I don't think my already changed domain needs Workspaces too but the extra disk space per user is definitely nice.
