    Hello,

So I am completely new to CentminMod web stack and I've seen it suggested many times on the xenForo community boards, so I decided to read into what I'm looking forward to and decided to go with it on a fresh 4GB CentOS 6.5 VM. I don't have a big forum as it's still growing, but I want to prepare ahead of time. The current setup I have:
    • Memcached + Zend Opcache
    • PHP 5.6.7 (php-pfm)
    • Nginx 1.7.12
    • MariaDB 10.0.17
I've already created my vhost, etc. I'm just not sure where to go from here now that everything's up and running. Are there any tweaks, configurations, etc that I should do? I know there needs to be modification to the config.php of xenForo. Also, I was thinking about using ngx_pagespeed as it was suggested too.

    Thanks for the help! :)

Thanks for this. :) I've watched all of those threads and will start with "Getting Started." Are all of those things required after installing?

Quick question too, what will I need to tweak/configure/add to get the caching working with my forum?

Thank you for the fast responses. So when I migrate my forum over to this new VM and modify my xenForo configuration file, I should start seeing performance change, right? I'm going to look into installing ngx_pagespeed as well. Are there any tweaks I should know about or should my setup be fine?

Performance change difference really depends on what you had setup before moving to Centmin Mod - so your mileage will vary :) Centmin Mod is provided as is with an optimal base configuration. However, tuning settings for your specific site loads is left to end user to do or you can ask on this forum and other members here might help but I stay out of optimisation/tweaking advice as I do not do that for free on the forums.

For ngx_pagespeed best to bookmark the Nginx PageSpeed Troubleshooting sticky thread as there is high chance you need to tweak your Nginx pagespeed.conf config file for your web apps and styles used. You can see an example of this forum's pagespeed.conf tweaked for Xenforo and my particular used Xenforo style/theme and some discussion of troubleshooting advertising and ngx_pagespeed - both should give you a fair idea of what's involved it getting your web app and styles working 100% under ngx_pagespeed.

Awesome. I was using a LAMP stack before installing Centmin Mod. I installed it on a fresh server though and not on the live one. Also, thanks for answering my questions! :)
