So, right now i have 2x vbulletin v5 licenses... due to the lack of adoption of vbulletin v5, I migrated to mybb... but now I'm REALLY liking XENForo (because of this forum)... what forum boards do you all like?

Invision Power Board (IPB). IPB is rock solid and you can setup a forum with their cloud for $20 a month and it gives you multiple applications. Core, Forum, Commerce (full payment integration), Pages (content Management), Downloads (file manager), Calendar, Gallery, and Blogs.

It's pricey if you buy it all and run it on your own server. But the features you get are incredible.

IPB first and then Xenforo :)

I actually have 1 Xenforo license and I can't even sell the thing. I'd end up selling it for $40 since it's not renewed. So, I might actually fire up a Xenforo forum at some point because heck... I own it.

I've been known to run a few of the different paid scripts. ;)

It actually depends on what you need/desire from the script. On my pipe site, XenForo wouldn't fit as I have a store and a classifieds add-on. The store sells actual physical products (restored estate pipes).
As for forum -> forum, IPS isn't as powerful (for my needs) as XenForo or even WBB. XenForo has a LOT more granularity in it's users permissions settings, but that granularity also results in confusion by new admins to it.
As for IPS, today was a classic case... they released 4.1.18 recently... and turn right around and have to release 4.1.18.1 due to issues in the code. Their vetting process is not near as complete as XenForo's for the release of code.
WBB (AKA Burning Board) has a few quirks in it that I'm not really crazy about and some limitations as for permissions when compared to XenForo. I primarily obtained it to get some exposure to it that would allow me to give some guidance to folks that ask me for assistance.

If you want to see some examples of each
Now Serving Linux is my Burning Board site
The Pipe Stand is my IPS site
The Bent Bike is my XenForo site.

Each has some customizations done to it beyond what the styles offer that I use.

Yeah, but the only issue is you suffer burn out a lot quicker trying to keep up with the different scripts and modifications. I'm seriously looking at bringing all of the sites down except for the pipe site and moving it over to a small VPS with RamNode.

I can imagine ! Sort of how I feel following the different MySQL fork developments, Oracle MySQL vs Percona MySQL vs MariaDB MySQL vs WebScaleSQL differences. Which I why I prefer to keep to just MariaDB MySQL :) Do one thing very well versus do many things average/ok :D
