Forum Downtime Linode Scheduled Maintenance

    Approximately 5 hrs ago, this forum experienced downtime due to scheduled Linode maintenance related to Meltdown/Spectre vulnerability patches on the VPS host node itself as outlined at Linode Status - Scheduled Linode Maintenance.

    Visitors would of been eventually greeted with my DNS level fallback maintenance page notice whenever this forum's Linode VPS server is down for extended time and it would looked like

    The maintenance completed fine and Linode VPS server came back up for me and most visitors, though some may have still experienced the maintenance page for alot longer due to DNS caching at ISP level most likely.
