    Since I just registered to keep you all updated and can't reply directly as new member...

    Here comes my follow up to "Unable to install FFMPEG PHP extension"...

    I fixed this bug now, was able to build ffmpeg-php and created a pull request: changed names of constants to be compatible to current versions of ffmpeg (2016-01-13) by pbek · Pull Request #17 · tony2001/ffmpeg-php · GitHub

    Since it might be possible this request will never get accepted (like all other pull requests in the last years) you can also use my fork pbek/ffmpeg-php · GitHub directly.

    welcome @Patrizio and wow thanks for all the hardwork on fixing this long standing bug ! (y)

    As you can see from my thread it's been an adventure trying to work around this without the coding chops to fix the root problems :)

    Will definitely give this a try :D

    I'm currently on the task of getting the ffmpeg-php module working on a Debian Jessie server, I'll report back if I stumble across anything important that is blocking my path. :)

    Personally I have been waiting for this fix as a non-programmer, so that a very fine gift to get here in this new year.
