    Hello,

I've a multi-site network as one WordPress vhost domain on CMM. I am now looking to create a clone of this network on a different domain, hosted on the same server.

Both networks are going to have similar functionalities with some differences, so it looks prudent to clone the existing network instead of creating the second one from the scratch.

What would be the optimum way to do it?

I'm thinking of two possible methods:
    1. Create a non-wordpress vhost site. Create a fresh database. Clone the site using duplicator. Copy/replace nginx configuration files from the first site.
    2. Create a wordpress vhost site. Clone the site using duplicator. Update nginx config files.
What would be the recommended method?

    Thanks!

As you're cloning and not really touching the original site, you can try both ways safely and see which is best for your usage case.
