    hi, looking for a way to completely disable Cloudflare SSL on my Centminmod.
    but keep using Forced HTTPs (https://mysite.net) via Lets Encrypt

    I tried by disabling Cloudflare SSL from the panel but fail.

    If you want to use Cloudflare then you must have it enabled or it will not work.

    If you disable Cloudflare then you can use Let's encrypt alone.

    @R0rke

    What @pamamolf mean is that you have to disable Cloudflare features (that orange cloud icon, make it turn to grey) and use Cloudflare as DNS only, then you can use your own SSL (including Letsencrypt).

    +1 this is the way to let letesencrypt ssl show by disabling Cloudflare orange cloud on the host DNS record in CF dashboard. But I'd advise you don't do that let CF accelerate your site with their SSL cert and use CF Full SSL so CF connects to your origin using HTTPS too as you have letsencrypt ssl cert on your origin Centmin Mod Nginx server.

    @eva2000 so there is no way to disable CF's SSL?
    even with buying a cert?

    only way is if you want your own SSL certs shown to visitors while using Cloudflare is upgrading to Cloudflare Business or higher plan which allows you to upload your own purchased SSL certificates for Cloudflare to use.

    My cloudflare is using Cloudflare's provided SSL certificates just I purchased a dedicated Cloudflare SSL certificate at $5/month. But yes I am using Cloudflare Business account but not using custom uploaded SSL certificates as you have do renewal on my end. Using Cloudflare's provided SSL certificate means they handle auto renewals.
