I noticed that images can't be hotlinked onto another domain. Since this means users won't embed these images on other sites, I suspect (but haven't fully researched) that this means I lose a (slight) SEO boost because I have fewer inbound links to my domain.

How do I disable this hotlink protection? I'm thinking it's a Centminmod nginx configuration issue... maybe it's Xenforo though, not sure.

    Anyone know?

Centmin Mod doesn't do any hotlink protection, so it's something else I suspect. I don't think Xenforo does hotlink protection either. Only thing I can think of is ngx_pagespeed auto conversion of some images to webp format might throw off some other web apps or non-webp supported browsers from rendering it on other sites. For that you'd want to be sure to view your ngx_pagespeed enabled domain with ?PageSpeed=off tagged on the end and then grab that image url first.
