FYI, since DigitalOcean High CPU droplets don't have much disk space at 20GB, you need to use DigitalOcean block storage but it isn't available in all DigitalOcean datacenter regions yet so limits availability Block Storage Comes to Singapore; Five More Datacenters on the Way!

Tried a DO $40 High CPU droplet in New York with 50GB block storage volume attached but had network connectivity issues as YUM was only downloading at 50-200KB/s so destroyed the droplet. Probably try later

Apart from the benchmarks right now, I'm more than just curious how the VPS servers will keep themselves when the nodes are filled after some time. Nodes are empty or Little used now.

For example the speed of Digitaocean's normal VPS platform was fine after launch (i.e. Amsterdam 3, end of year 2013) but was kind of slow a year later and is slow now.

Indeed especially as these new cpus have more cpu threads - dual Xeon E5-2697A would have 64 cpu threads and dual Xeon Platinum 6168 would have 96 cpu threads so they have anywhere between 2-32+ and 3-48+ VPS servers respectively on a single dual cpu VPS host node at minimum.

That's the hardware part. The other question is. How much overselling. All budget providers are overselling their nodes a bit more or less. The question is: how deep the rabbit-hole goes?
