    Hello :)

If i am not wrong a dedicated server is better from a cloud one with same specs or not?

Cloud i think has limitations like disk i/o and maybe network speed share?

Cloud is more flexible with resources but i am talking about exact same specs and pure performance and not flexibility...

Do you agree or not and what other differences they have?

    Thank you !

Cloud or any virtualization KVM, XEN, OpenVZ, VMWare etc have performance overheads in the range of 20-40% compared to bare metal dedicated servers.

    Why is that overhead?
    Any other limitations?

cpu, memory, disk and network overhead from additional layers on top of bare metal would be main one and for openvz at least no able to do TCP level tuning or use own kernel
    example

Is it the same a few years ago that when you need a fresh install of your dedicated server's OS that you need to file a ticket for OS Reload?

Or do they also have automated reinstall nowadays just like in cloud and VPS?

Yes unless your dedicated has IPMI/KVM console of their own where you can load your own ISO image. Though even without it you can reload your own OS with nearly any dedicated or VPS via headless VNC net/PXEBoot ISO image installs :)

On OVH I can re-install an OS myself anytime :).
