Crontab first value

    Hi

    On crontab i know that the first value (*) is minutes and it can be set from 0-59

    But i don't know what it does if used as:

    1) */1
    2) /1


    Can you please let me know what it will do in case 1 and what in case 2 ?

    Thanks George so if i add in the first value in minutes this:

    */1

    It will run every minute or every fist minute of the hour?

    * = */1 both the same for minutes

    yes ok both are the same but does this run every minute?
