    APO these days don't work that well with existing origin side full page caching unfortunately. Though I have not tried lately so don't know as I don't use APO

    Also, why we need to have a workers script when you can "cache everything" with the page rules. What's the difference between the "Cache Everything" option and APO or custom workers script?

    APO has smarter caching & purging and now leverage Argo Tiered caching to improve global geographic cache hit rates so that less requests hit the origin server.

    You could achieve the same with Cloudflare Argo enabled at additional bandwidth costs + your own Cloudflare CDN Cache page rules and/or Cloudflare custom worker caching + Cloudflare plugin with APO disabled + origin full page cache. Which is what I personally use - more expensive but greater control

    I didn't know about the argo part. It's kinda sad that it doesn't work, it's also good for reducing TTFB besides caching as HTML as I understand.

    Technically APO itself is good enough without origin side full page caching given the price $5/month! For that price you get a lot of benefits. Just with origin full page caching it helps for CF CDN cache-miss requests which can be taken care of with origin full page caching.

    I think I'm okay with the full page caching for now. If my business gets big enough, I can pay extra for argo in the future. I'd rather have greater control much more than the speed. I don't know if it's technically possible to get APO to work with full page caching setup but it would be awesome. Being a control freak and speed addict at the same time is really hard haha.
