Greetings everyone, today i updated my CentOS and there are 2 confusions, firstly i am running a live site on the server and for the Kernel update to complete i must restart the server, i am thinking of restarting it in the midnight as i have the lowest users that time., if there is a workaround i would really appreciate that.

Secondly during the update i got these errors, could not find something relevant on google too

    Code:
ValueError: SELinux policy is not managed or store cannot be accessed.
warning: %postun(bind-32:9.9.4-73.el7_6.x86_64) scriptlet failed, exit status 1
Non-fatal POSTUN scriptlet failure in rpm package 32:bind-9.9.4-73.el7_6.x86_64

OSError: No such file or directory
ValueError: SELinux policy is not managed or store cannot be accessed.
warning: %posttrans(bind-32:9.9.4-74.el7_6.1.x86_64) scriptlet failed, exit status 1
Non-fatal POSTTRANS scriptlet failure in rpm package 32:bind-9.9.4-74.el7_6.1.x86_64

For your kernel you must restart your server to activate it.

You can avoid that by using a service like:

Linux Kernel Live Patching | Kernel updates without reboots

that is patching the kernel on memory and there is no need to restart your server.

For your second question you can run from ssh:
    Code:
    sestatus
and if the result is disabled then i think you can ignore that message without any issues or even better you can wait for someone else with more knoledge than me to provide more help to you :)

yeah what @pamamolf said if sestatus for SELINUX is set to disabled which is recommended for Centmin Mod operation, then yum update errors related to SELINUX can be ignored
